Get to Know Sophie
Sophaline (Sophie) Mao is more than a real estate advisor. She is a seasoned professional, community leader, and trusted guide with a deep love for the Tri-Valley. After moving to the area in 2022 following her marriage to her husband and business partner, Mony Nop, Sophie quickly found her place combining her global business background with a thoughtful, client-centered approach to real estate.
With more than 15 years of corporate experience, Sophie brings a unique level of strategy, precision, and professionalism to every transaction. Her career spans financial services, biopharmaceuticals, and technology across the San Francisco Bay Area and the Asia-Pacific region. For four years, she lived and worked in Southeast Asia, where she helped build the Salesforce ecosystem and launched a Salesforce consulting business, gaining deep experience in technology, operations, and cross-cultural collaboration.
A Global Perspective, Grounded in Service
Sophie’s journey has been shaped by resilience and community. As a 1.5-generation Cambodian American who arrived in the United States as a child refugee, she learned early the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and service. These values guide everything she does in business, leadership, and life.
Fluent in English, Khmer (Cambodian), and Thai, Sophie brings a culturally informed, global perspective to her work and serves clients from diverse backgrounds with empathy, clarity, and care. Her ability to communicate across cultures and navigate complex situations allows her clients to feel understood, supported, and confident throughout the real estate process.

In addition to her real estate practice, Sophie is deeply committed to leadership and community service. She is honored to serve as the 2026 President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® of Alameda County, where her focus is on empowering women leaders, fostering collaboration, and helping professionals rise together.
